Look who’s using traditional media

Now advertising on radio: Constant Contact, the popular email marketing solution.

It’s nothing new for web-based businesses to advertise on radio, TV or in print. But after stressing for years over learning the secrets of web-based marketing, I found it funny to hear a web-based marketing system advertising on the radio.

Even funnier, following the Constant Contact ad were spots for Legal Zoom, the web-based legal documents provider, and an Internet dating site. A complete station break, sponsored by web-based brands.

Maybe the Internet has indeed changed everything. But isn’t it interesting to see new media companies, even an email marketing company, advertising on a medium people left for dead just a few years ago?
